The working principle of the filter press is: the filter plate is compressed by the oil cylinder, and the filter chamber is sealed by the stroke between the filter plates. Feed into the filter chamber, the solids remain in the filter chamber, and the liquid flows between the filter cloth and the filter plate through the filter cloth, and is discharged along the diversion groove on the filter plate.
The moisture content of the mud cake obtained by pressure filtration is related to the dehydration performance of the material itself, the feeding time, the water permeability of the filter cloth, and the pressure of the filter press.
The main difference between a chamber filter press and a plate and frame filter press is the structure of the filter plate. The plate and frame filter press is arranged with one plate and one frame at intervals, and the space in the frame after the filter press is compressed serves as a filter chamber for forming a filter cake. The filter plate of the chamber filter press is equivalent to combining one plate and one frame into a whole plate with a concave space, and the filter cake is formed in the concave part.
The chamber filter plate has the advantages of not easy deformation and high production efficiency, but it is not as easy to replace the filter cloth as the plate and frame filter plate. The advantage of the plate-and-frame filter plate is that it is easy to replace the filter cloth, which is suitable for customers who need to frequently disassemble the filter cloth for cleaning or replacement, but the plate-and-frame filter frame is easy to deform.
The two types of filter presses have their own characteristics in actual production and should be selected according to the actual needs of customers.
